Federal agents searched the home of the US senator, Bob Menendez. The surprise was when they found a great amount of gold which values more than $480,000 in hidden cash, according to an indictment
To tell the story in other words, the charges are related to accepting gold bars, cash, Mercedes-Benz, and various other gifts in exchange for the protection of three businessmen and influencing the Egypt government. Prosecutors allege that the senator and his wife accepted the money to secretly aid the Egyptian government.
Well it's a must to tell that both Mr and Mrs Menendez have issued denials.
